This is a card you'd print to help aggro decks have options against an oppressive control strategy/removal suites, not one you'd print in a format like Theros Limited, for sure - the cost is definitely pushed. If removal never comes back down in cost, then this would want a boost in CMC as well; but I doubt it'll be too long before we see powerful cheap removal ubiquitous again.<br /><br />@Jenesis:<br />This could work as a design for a WG or UG trick if that was a slot you needed filled, but if it's a mono-colored card, (my opinion is that) green is the right place to put it.Pasteurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02058331124653341978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-58066076006390145032014-02-03T09:41:30.428-05:002014-02-03T09:41:30.428-05:00*I approve "of"*I approve "of"lpaulsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07772860908442278112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-37217104646628958452014-02-03T09:40:23.613-05:002014-02-03T09:40:23.613-05:00I hadn't realized this, but the card has anoth...I hadn't realized this, but the card has another lenticular use-- making an evasive creature big after blocks are declared.lpaulsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07772860908442278112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-36463091139700503222014-02-03T09:33:17.619-05:002014-02-03T09:33:17.619-05:00I think new players would not like the card that m...I think new players would not like the card that much: too much complexity. The old ones would go wooot: a 4/3 for 3 that can be indeed protected at a 1:1 cost ratio. However this card would depend on its environement and the cost of removal you and your oppoent uses. The card does not feel that red to me. Perhaps something like {G/R}{G/R}{G/R}{G/R} and add, if you do, you may add a +1/+1 counter on it, which will make old players realise that they can target with a trick and discard for an extra counter too? I do not know. It is an interesting card in general but it pushes complexity.A.Charantonishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14764287128554364197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-67093791217379542352014-02-03T09:26:40.184-05:002014-02-03T09:26:40.184-05:00Yep :D it is a rare and yes, new players will use ...Yep :D it is a rare and yes, new players will use it to attack, old players will use it for whatever fits them.A.Charantonishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14764287128554364197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-80548735194241201102014-02-03T09:13:28.541-05:002014-02-03T09:13:28.541-05:002UB seems really high for a 2/4-sometimes-unblocka...2UB seems really high for a 2/4-sometimes-unblockable.
