Cool Card Design of the Day 4/11/2013 - This card could be black or red, but if white were to do direct creature damage outside of combat, I expect this is about as close as you'd get.
Hmm. I would argue that Repentance's effectively "Destroy target creature with power greater than or equal to its toughness" is less white than Violent Justice.
I really love this. At first, I thought it was too powerful as it could target players, then I reread it and realised it only hits creatures. It's an excellent white card, but I think it may be too cheap and need to be at a higher rarity. But it's great.
what about this. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=4895

DeleteIf Wizards were ever to do hybrid/gold again a la Alara Reborn, this would make a great {W}{BR} card.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. It doesn't even have to be multi-hybrid. It could be WB or RW and make sense. I don't feel it working as a mono white card though.
DeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteI'm amused by the possibility of T1 Healing Salve, T2 Violent Justice your guy because I'm extra healthy and that makes me angry.
Right? The flavor breaks in that case, but I love that it quietly rewards white for gaining life.

ReplyDeleteThis card is probably rare. A common version might be "deal damage equal to amount of life you lost this turn."
