It clearly has a significant drawback, and I agree the spot on the curve is awkward with that drawback, but just because it doesn't work like Honor of the Pure doesn't mean it serves no role.Jay Treathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09428861685923241850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-86266782342193742142015-08-03T10:58:11.536-04:002015-08-03T10:58:11.536-04:00Everyone loves anthems.Everyone loves anthems.Jay Treathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09428861685923241850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-31134447904955940292015-07-30T05:06:32.565-04:002015-07-30T05:06:32.565-04:00I'm a big fan of this idea-- seems fun and fla...I'm a big fan of this idea-- seems fun and flavorful. Tommy and the others are right that it has a 'lose-more' aspect to it, and playing it on turn 2 is begging to get 2-for-1ed even if you had a turn-1 creature, but I bet there's a way to print it that would mitigate that aspect of the gameplay. Maybe check for the drawback at the end of your turn only?lpaulsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07772860908442278112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-47932586959239338062015-07-29T21:47:42.042-04:002015-07-29T21:47:42.042-04:00I like this card a lot. This is because sweeper are nearly non-existent in those formats and new players love anthem effects.

While LSPs will eventually learn this has weaknesses I think the enjoyment it provides is well worth it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05070477543367469910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-24396677716230065822015-07-29T18:11:26.562-04:002015-07-29T18:11:26.562-04:00As a player I'm not a fan of the card becuase ...As a player I'm not a fan of the card becuase it takes what is the biggest weakness of hte deck it wants to go in (wraths) and amplifies it.

Whether that extends to be a design weakness or not depends on what kinds of bad cards you like.Tommy Occhipintihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13495646355536064735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-50763849006348752292015-07-29T14:43:45.915-04:002015-07-29T14:43:45.915-04:00I'm not a fan of this card, less so because it...I'm not a fan of this card, less so because it's an anthem and more so because unlike Honor of the Pure, it's not a viable turn 2 play unless you pack your deck with a ton of 1-drops (probably including nonwhite ones). Anthem + Goblin tokens is a legit strategy in Standard, for example.Jenesishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05356037137564501914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5479847193762153273.post-3815998563870283252015-07-29T13:11:55.010-04:002015-07-29T13:11:55.010-04:00I like the design.
