CCDD 071614—Battle Standard

Cool Card Design of the Day
7/16/2014 - A dirt simple update to Konda's Banner, intended to give any color access to a Glorious Anthem effect, inspired by the M15 Paragons.

  1. I don't have much to say besides I like this a lot.

  2. Merits of the trigger vs. having a static "As long as Battle Standard is equipped, creatures you control gain +1/+1"?

    1. Flavor—no one's inspired by a leader who sits the battle out—and Risk—you have to risk your leader to enjoy the boost. I felt that was needed to justify the ease of playing this in any deck comprised of any combination of colors.

  3. This makes me think of the colorless spells idea that pops up every now and again.

  4. This comment has been removed by the author.

  5. Battle Standard - 2
    Artifact - Equipment - (RARE)

At the beginning of combat on your turn, creatures that share a colour with the equipped creature gain Vigilance until end of turn.

Whenever equipped creature attacks, other creatures you control get +1+1 until end of turn.

    Equip: 2

  6. There already IS a colorless battle anthem. And it even works without equipping. It's Hall of Triumphs.

  7. I really like it, though I'd prefer it was just attacks.
