  1. This shouts TIMMAY! pretty loudly. I'd strongly consider Mythic.

    1. Trying to remember if I had this at mythic when it was undercosted at {2}{R}{R}{G}{G}. In any case, yeah, this could be mythic.

  2. I'd actually prefer this at rare. It's big and splashy for Timmy, but it doesn't strike me as having wide appeal beyond that demographic. A bit too much of a blunt-force instrument for Johnny and Spike only wants to pay that much mana for something if it's the stone cold nuts.

    1. Speaking as a die-hard Johnny, I'd be ecstatic to try this with Swans of Bryn Argoll and Boros Reckoner, but clearly it leads towards Timmy.

Either way, mythics don't always demand wide appeal. Just look at Lich's Mirror, Nissa Revane, and Misthollow Griffin. Titanic Impact has broader appeal than any of those. The important thing is that the card has the "potential to be awesome" for its intended audience, and this does.

    2. Heh. Yes, spend the early turns filling the board with Spitemare, Stuffy Doll, Mogg Maniac and Boros Reckoner, then any old 1/5 will send 20 to the opponent's dome...

    3. How is this more mythic-feeling than, say, Blasphemous Act or Duneblast?

    4. Because you get to drop a Progenitus onto the battlefield.

    5. That, and also I would have been okay with Duneblast as a mythic.
