Chip notes this is wordy for a common. Agreed.
Different, counter-less take:Court GossipWEnchantment - Aura - UncommonEnchant creatureX: If X is greater than enchanted creature's power, it can't attack this turn. If X is greater than enchanted creature's toughness, it can't block this turn. If X is greater than enchanted creature's combined power and toughness, exile it.
Probably should be "or equal to" but that's another full line of text...
There's some Mel magic in there, but this is too clever by a half.
Yeah - I think I got too caught up in keeping the week's theme. Here's a better take keeping just the core idea:Court Gossip1RWEnchantment - RareX: Choose one --Target creature with X or less power can't attack this turn.-Target creature with X or less toughness can't block this turn.
Time Out WEnchantment - Aura - CommonEnchant creatureT: Enchanted creature can't attack or block this turn.
tapping aura's are a no-no
Yep. Which I think is over-enforced. Offensive auras don't suffer from the same confusion. That said, I don't see how Time Out is different from Pacifism.
And now I do. Neat.
Replace condemnation counters with -1/-1 counters and you have a built in expiration, like on Torture. Or for a different take on a white Torture:WEnchantment - AuraEnchant CreatureWhenever enchanted creature attacks or blocks, put a -1/-1 counter on it.
