CCDD 100616—Kern, Silver Butler

Cool Card Design of the Day
10/6/2016 - I was exploring the idea of cycling expensive cards from your opening hand and came to the idea of getting them back at some specific point rather than just returning them to your deck. I don't believe that's a keywordable idea, but seems like a cool rare.

CCDD 091516—Elusive

Cool Card Design of the Day
9/15/2016 - Revisiting the first CCDD posted to this site. I'm still attracted to cards that can help players get real games of Magic, in this case by smoothing out their opening hand. Elusive (originally gamecycling) gives you more chances to draw the cards you need in the early game, by helping you save the cards you want in the late game until later.

CCDD 031016—mulligan cycle

Cool Card Design of the Day
3/10/2016 - No time today to pretty up these designs. Made to alleviate the pain of mulliganing below six cards, some more directly/explicitly than others.

CCDD 022111 — Heidenberg's Wurm

Cool Card Design of the Day
2/21/2011 - Every day, I design a new card and discuss it briefly. Sometimes I will examine new possibilities for colors or mechanics, sometimes I'll re-examine existing executions and sometimes I'll just design something I think is neat.
