Cool Card Design of the Day3/08/2011 - Everyone who hates tribal lords, raise your hand. No one? Yeah, that's what I thought. I saw this art (and actually attributed it) and I knew I had to make a a fish lord. This was my second stab at it.
I readily admit, this isn't as much a lord as it could be, but I think it's okay for the lord of a creature type as offbeat as fish to break the mold a bit. Here, for reference, is the original design I rejected in favor of Piscomancer:
Having to eat the very thing you're supposedly the lord of just felt too anti-lord. At least for a non-thrull.
I like the first one. I prefer counterspells to have a certain level of uncertainty.
