Set Design: Round 2 Deadline Approaching!

The due date for the second round of pitches is midnight on Sunday, November 4.  Details are here.  This is an update to let you know the current numbers of pitches received for each world.

When all the pitches are in, we'll have another blog author huddle to make the cut to five candidates.  Whether a set survives will depend partly on the quality of the best pitch(es) for that world, but also on how many Goblin Artisans readers are actually excited about it.  To measure this, we'll consider number of pitches submitted, wiki activity, blog comments, etc.  So even if you don't have the time and energy to make a full pitch, please do head to the wiki (or comments section of the appropriate set, if you're wikiphobic) and contribute your brilliant ideas to the world of your choice.  That'll increase the likelihood that we pick your favorite set to work on!

  1. I'm surprised that Athambia doesn't have any pitches; it seems to have lots of potential and ways it can go. Remember that you can make pitches to any number of sets.

    1. I'm not. I would have pitched it were it not for the difficult to find appropriately resonant mechanics for it (something I'll admit have been giving me trouble about my own Ekkremes). The set has a huge flavor potential, yes, but I haven't seen enough mechanical stuff to make me say the same about gameplay.

    2. I've put up a lot of mechanics about spellcasting on the wiki. Mechanically, it could focus on things like level up, Auras to represent learning a new ability, instants & sorceries, etc.

    3. Actually something Pasteur just posted on the Wiki about "learning enchantment" is making me consider a melding of the Athambia and Sephorgia pitches. Not sure if it'll coalesce into a full six-card pitch before deadline, but I'll give it a try.

  2. There's at least one for Athambia Academy now, I just finalized and submitted my pitch this morning.

  3. There's two for Ekkremes? I was wondering about levels of interest given the lack of conversation compared to some of the other pitches. (You can't see it but there's a HUGE grin on my face as I type that.)
