CCDD 071917—Aggressive Emulation

Cool Card Design of the Day
7/19/2017 - Reverse Akroma's Memorial. Sort of.

Whatever, it plays with green and blue's adaptive nature.

If it weren't for hexproof, you could totally enchant your own creature.

(And, yes, I know this template isn't printable. Designers need shorthand.)

  1. How would you template that? Are you aiming specifically for the evergreens + block mechanics, or all rules text? "Creatures you control gain all rules text of enchanted creature"? That would be amazing.

    1. "Creatures you control have all keyword abilities of enchanted creature."

      Or go big:

      "Each creature you control becomes a copy of enchanted creature except they have their base power and toughness "

    2. I like this last one.

      I wonder if you could staple it Mirror Entity's X ability for an interesting aura, or if that clutters the effect.

    3. I don't know if it would be an aura

      Mirror(Entity)Weave X{uw}{uw}
      Instant R
      Each creature you control becomes a copy of target creature except their base power and toughness is X/X.

    4. Have we ever seen
      "XCC: Each creature you control becomes (creature type) with base power and toughness X/X until EOT" on it's own? Seems like it could be an intense sorcery, though its color would be up for debate.

    5. Well, there is Biomass Mutation, which doesn't do the creature type (http://magiccards.info/gtc/en/213.html).

    6. Was thinking like Cairn Wanderer but copying the enchanted creature is actually simpler (because it doesn't stack with the creatures' native abilities).
