CCDD 060216—Warp Spell

6/2/2016 - Looks like it's going to be countermagic week.

Ignore the hybrid mana cost on Warp Spell for now, we'll discuss that tomorrow. I just thought getting to cascade would blunt the sting of having your spell countered a bit.


  1. I'd honestly be inclined to have this say "Counter target spell you don't control", and have no cost limitation, if it's going to be castable in monored.

    In monoblue the card is fine, though.

    It's a little broader. I could see this justified in red.

    1. Glad it's not entirely new. That sure does look red.

    2. I think limiting it to i/s does make sense - I read that restriction into Warp Spell even though it wasn't on the card. But that could just be first impressions.
