CCDD 061813—Bridge to Anywhere

Cool Card Design of the Day
6/18/2013 - Bridge to Anywhere is based on the Ridgeview Copse cycle. Instead of putting a land on top of your library, you're trading a card from your hand for it. That could let you ship away a spell that's still too expensive or another land that simply isn't the one that you want now.

The other difference you'll notice is that Ridgeview Copse ETB tapped, makes colored mana and only fetches a specific land card. You could easily swap those characteristics between these land-fixing methods if you find one plays better or fits the needs of your set better. This combination is better at ensuring you have the right amount of mana, where the other is better at ensuring you have the right colors of mana.

I draw no conclusion from it, but it's worth noting that Bridge effectively gives any one card in your hand basic-land-cycling {0} the turn you play it.

  1. I really feel that this is overpowered by not ETBT.

  2. I feel like this is too complex for common land, but would fit right in at uncommon.
