I was thinking about guilds, and law magic, and thought about what a magically binding contract might look like. So here's an Azorius uncommon that I think is very very Azorius, and something Jenny would love to abuse.
I honestly think this can be cheaper, but I liked all the threes. There's a certain amount of mental games that come with this. If I put this on your win condition, it's basically a slow-burn Concentrate. But if I put it on a less crucial creature, the Battle of Wits that results can make for some very interesting magic.
I like the concept a lot, but I think it needs to be pushed more. Otherwise it's a strictly-worse-in-three-ways Pacificism (except in the unusual case of a must-attack-if-able creature).
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right. My lawyer brain was trying to do a top-down contract, but honestly 2 mana, no opponent life gain still has all the interesting parts of this card while being much more playable.
