Weekend Art Challenge
Click through to see this weekend's art and the design requirements for your single card submission, due Monday morning. Every submission warrants feedback, which I will try to provide, and which everyone is welcome to provide as well.
If you choose, you may use that feedback to revise your submission any number of times. I will post and review the most recent submission from each designer some time on Monday, life permitting. To help ensure I recreate your design accurately, please use CARDNAME instead of ~ in your submissions.

Cool Card Design of the Day
2/27/2014 - Green creatures are good at getting into fights; they should be good at getting out of them too.

CCDD 022014—Bed of Leeches
Cool Card Design of the Day
2/20/2014 - I was made to remember recently a card designed for M13GA that I was quite fond of, but that didn't make it into the final file for reasons other than design quality. It's not a strong card by any measure, but it is flavorful removal that gets the job done …for a ton of mana. And on very rare occasion, it will be better than Murder or Doom Blade.
That's exactly what I want out of a bad card.

Cool Card Design of the Day
2/19/2014 - These are the four designs I didn't submit last weekend, while trying to emulate Ken Nagle's green fatties.

CCDD 021814—Occult Tutor & Whispering Demon
Cool Card Design of the Day
2/18/2014 - Today's mechanic follows in the path of Spoils of the Vault but takes Demonic Consultations perspective a bit further: Instead of naming a card and hoping you find it soon, you simply bid some number of cards and take the best one among them.

CCDD 021314—Taa-Zhur Druid
Cool Card Design of the Day
2/13/2014 - I'm not remotely suggesting Zhur-Taa Druid should have been different, only that this is another way to make a red-green mana dude.

CCDD 021214—The Corruption and Netherling
Cool Card Design of the Day
2/12/2014 - Yesterday's Face Eater got me thinking about a zombie shapeshifter, resulting in The Corruption. I noticed how criminally underused this trigger was, so I boiled that part of the concept down into Netherling.

CCDD 021114—Face Eater
Cool Card Design of the Day
2/11/2014 - Like Body Double, Face Eater is a nasty shapeshifter that's still blue as long as the context of her set is dark enough. (Could otherwise be {U}{B} I suppose.)

CCDD 020514—Indignant Root
Cool Card Design of the Day
2/5/2014 - Indignant Root is based off an idea Nich presented a couple weeks back. What about a defender that can fight specific creatures? In this case, the result is something hardier, but much less dangerous than Royal Assassin. What do you think?

CCDD 020414—Finishing Blow
Cool Card Design of the Day
2/4/2014 - We've seen various iterations of this card before, including M13GA's Blood in the Water and the recent WAC submission Fatal Flaw. I don't like Finishing Blow better than Blood in the Water, because that card undoes the implicit card disadvantage of this effect, but this one has the benefit that you can combo it with global -1/-1 effects or cheap semi-removal like Weakness so that you at least don't lose a creature in the deal.
