Cool Card Design of the Day
10/31/2017 - This was the creepiest card I found sitting in my CCDD folder. I suspect the inspiration (from January) was to mess with base power and toughness while reanimating, or perhaps I wanted to do the Shade version of Rise from the Grave?

Magic's Terrible Value Proposition
Magic is my favorite game. It's a game millions of people play. And it's a terrible value proposition.
Many gamers never even try Magic because it's notoriously expensive.
How much does it cost to play Magic? Well, there are a ton of ways to play and Magic is literally its own economy, but we can answer this from the perspective of a consumer choosing between Magic and another game.

Cool Card Design of the Day
10/24/2017 - This is like a slow trap. It gets cheaper/better in response to a certain action your opponent might take, but it's less preventative and more punitive.

Scry's move to evergreen a few years ago was excellent for the game. It's a flavorful ability that is perfect as an evergreen. My one complaint is that it's a flavor fail for red, which is arguably the color that would benefit the most from it.

CCDD 100317—Unrelenting
Cool Card Design of the Day
10/3/2017 - This idea went through 7 revisions before I settled on this version. Originally, it was "when this dies, you can cast a copy of it from your hand for free." That seemed too limiting, so I let you scour the top of your library too. To save on words, to make it a cost, and to make both options viable, I had you exile those cards. The result is an uncertain sort of undying/persist that plays better in multiples (or with Arc-Slogger).
