Cool Card Design of the Day 7/9/2013 - Directly inspired by Panglacial Scout from last weekend's art challenge; The player's already searching, why not let her piggyback to fix her mana if she can pay for it?
Panglacial Shelf Land While you're searching your library for a land card, you may reveal Panglacial Shelf and put it into your hand. T: Add 1 to your mana pool.
Seems kind of weird that a fixing card requires you to already be searching your library in order to maximize its value (especially since in green, that often happens with land tutoring effects.)
this is a interesting mechanic... especially because wizards recently got it to work in the rules. (it didn't really before) I think it would be cool if they brought this in in a real set as a vertical or horizontal cycle or something.
Hmm

Search your library for a creature. You may cast that creature. Shuffle your library.

I can get FOUR Panglacial Shelves at once?

ReplyDeleteWould you rather play 8 Rampant Growths, or 4 of those and 4 of these?
DeleteThis was designed to be a constructed playable card? I figured this was definitely meant for limited.

When you search your library, you may reveal one basic land card from your library and put it into your hand.
Actually let's make this G so you can play it then Rampant Growth after.
DeleteI like that. Pretty sure {G} is busted for this effect, though.
DeleteHmm. I really wonder how powerful this could be. It's in weird territory. Very interesting.
