Everywhere is interesting, but maybe a simpler aura focussed on duplicating activated abilities? Duplicating mana abilities isn't that interesting outside a few niches (casting a MMMMM spell, or doubling mana with one karoo). Or worried it just says "play with dark depths" (does that work?)
It also occurred to me you could do something like, "Enchant land. Enchanted land has '{T}: Target creature of a color that this land could produce gets +2/+2 UEOT'".
That's much simpler than the animated version, and a wide variety of creature-enhancers might benefit from the gameplay tension of "which set of my creatures do I want to apply this to". Like, "choose a colour" cards, but with a physical reminder which colour was chosen, and with the extra bonus of doing more on multicolor lands.
I considered saying if this land would produce mana, you may have this effect instead, so (a) you can get a double effect if the land produces two mana and (b) you don't get infinite any-color uses out of a land that can produce any colour only once. But it was more fiddly.
I could support that. Or However could only search up a card of a color that matches what the enchanted land can produce (but it's already pretty wordy). Or it could just put the card into your hand.
Everywhere + Dark Depths does Armageddon the board (except for the original), and it creates a bunch of Marit Lages, who all kill each other except for one on each side of the board.
If that proved too much, we could make it only copy activated abilities. Given that 99% of what we want it to do is copy those and not static or triggered abilities, that's a fine change to make.

If Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth has value, then Everywhere's type granting ability does too.
DeleteThe +2/+2 card ideas is solid. Probably sorcery speed.
These are great! I particularly like Whenever.
ReplyDeleteHowever is a very powerful tutor, letting you tutor for and then cast off-colour cards. Perhaps it should need you to match mana cost exactly?

DeleteDoes Everywhere + Dark Depths just Armageddon the board and put a couple of 20/20 Lages into play?
