Cool Card Design of the Day
11/7/2017 - Today we have the most dangerous of all countermagic: The free kind.
By returning a blue card that costs four or more, you're paying for this by no longer having that. But we all know who's getting the raw deal in this scenario. (It's your opponent.)
Especially if that permanent is an Archaeomancer...!

DeleteGross.
I had a similar, narrower design a while back-- made the free mode mandatory and sacrificed instead of bounced. I called it Over My Dead Body.

Sacrifice is a bit odd for blue, but could work in a set all about sacrifice (though you really can't let black sacrifice its enchantments). That's certainly less broken.
DeletePut it on top of your library rather than hand? Lets you archeo softlock if that's what you're into, but a much steeper cost.
ReplyDeleteMuch less appealing, by probably necessary.
