Cool Card Design of the Day
5/23/2017 - Here are two green spider-flavored removal auras.
First, green ~Pacifism with a Spider-tribal bonus.
The intention of "can't tap" is "can't tap to attack
or pay costs" and thus "can't attack without vigilance" and "can't activate {T} abilities." I imagine
templating can find an unambiguous way to say that, but if not, "gains
defender" would be a fine substitute.
Second:
Green arrest that requires more auras (perhaps more copies of itself)—or some spiders, or both—to answer more significant threats.
Last one made me think of the following:

Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control a Spider, exile enchanted creature.
Creepy!
DeleteNice.
I almost want it to be "When a Spider ETB under your control…" so that your opponent doesn't know for sure if it'll happen next turn. Both are good.
DeleteNest of Spiders 2GG
DeleteEnchantment R
When Nest of Spiders enters the battlefield, create two 1/2 spiders with reach.
Tap an untapped spider you control: Target creature doesn't untap during its controllers next untap step.
That's adorable as long as I don't visualize it. Cool.
DeleteSensitive Web 3GG
ReplyDeleteEnchantment
Whenever a creature and opponent controls becomes tapped create a 1/2 spider without reach.
spiders you control get +1/+2

The knobs may need tuning but the idea is when a creature trips the web spiders come swarming
Guessing you meant with reach?
DeleteSensitive Web seems brutal. It's like a moat you can only overcome with vigilance, unblockable, or trample+4. Maybe:
Whenever one or more creatures an opponent controls become tapped, choose one:
• Create a 1/2 spider with reach.
• Spiders you control get +1/+2 until EOT.
