Looks to me like it could be used by Griefers to fill their decks with their friends' favorite cards. It's meaner than regular discard in that sense, more "I planned this specifically to hurt you." I kind of think it should only have one black mana symbol in its cost so that it's easier to run in a multicolor deck designed to hit more targets.
I can't help but feel the only way this card would tend to really work is on opening hands. But it's probably way too dangerous for something that can be played that early, right?

DeleteI guess I can kind of imagine someone thinking that maybe that was an idea... I still have a hard time with it.
DeleteI think if this idea was pursued long enough, the end result would be something very similar to Cabal Therapy.

ReplyDeleteThis card is like a kind of humor, right? Like the person pointing out a fault in others often has that fault himself?
ReplyDeleteThat would be excellent flavor (esp for black) for a serious version of this card.
DeleteThe joke for this art and title is that sometimes people appear at the same event wearing the same outfit and both hate the other for it.
A riff that might hit more often:

Maybe we could take this and the above design and make for a "Black Balance?" Triumph of Individuality or something.
