Cool Card Design of the Day 7/30/2015 - A card inspired by MaRo's latest article on blue in the color pie. A mill card that doesn't do nothing on its own.
I like it, but I worry about the tracking issues. We've never seen this kind of effect with "for as long as they remain exiled" that didn't have a permanent to track the cards with except for one card where it was a single card (Praetor's Grasp).
Thought Police (uncommon) 1U Creature - Human Wizard 1/1 When NAME enters the battlefield, target player exiles the top four cards of his or her library. You may cast instant and sorcery cards exiled by NAME.
I like that a lot more. Not only is it more trackable, it provides the opponent with a straightforward way to stop the effect (interact with it), and it's also Blinkable / Rite of Replicationable.

ReplyDeleteMaybe this wants to be an Enchantment?
I really want the colorless mana clause here but that probably bumps this closer to rare.
ReplyDeleteAlso I agree that this really wants to be an enchantment or creature.
It is a pretty clean design as a creature.

DeleteAgreed. A permanent would be better, and Thought Police is pretty sweet.
