I'm a big fan of this -- it's mechanically resonant in a very pleasing way, and "weird fantasy" in a way MtG feels like it hasn't been for quite a while. Nice work!
Totally agree, awesome all around! My biggest concern is that in limited this is going to be a bit too much like a 4/4 hexproof vigilance, but I don't know how to address that without detracting from the elegance here.

DeleteGiven that any random targeted ability can turn this off, I think it's fine. I laugh at the interaction with tappers.
