Nice! Very flavourful, and maybe actually a more balanced version of act of treason, since it's cheaper to steal small creatures, but you never get a complete killing blow out of it.
This is a nice design. I'm not convinced it can't be Red instead of Black. Could even be RB (maybe as an instant?).
I am with Tommy on this one: RB would be best. It feels black, but it could be better as RB instant.
